Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman is set to return for Atletico Madrid when they face Spanish champions Barcelona in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals on Wednesday, April 8, at the Spotify Camp Nou.

The 28-year-old was an unused substitute when the two sides met last weekend in La Liga at the Wanda Metropolitano, with Hansi Flick's side securing a 2–1 victory.

With the Rojiblancos already out of the La Liga title race, Diego Simeone rested some of his key players, including Julian Alvarez, Ademola Lookman, Marcos Llorente, and Marc Pubill, ahead of the crucial UCL clash.

The former Atalanta star man is expected to start in attack alongside Julian Alvarez and veteran Antoine Griezmann.

Ademola Lookman has registered five goals and four assists in 14 appearances across all competitions since joining Diego Simeone's side in the January transfer window.

The Nigerian international was on target for the Rojiblancos in their 4–0 thumping of Barcelona in the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final.
