Governor Ademola Adekele of Osun State was born on this day in 1960.

The governor is widely popular in his state, his political party and among ordinary Nigerians.

He is widely regarded as the dancing senator as he is known as an extrovert.

5. He was an executive director of Guinness Nigeria Plc from 1992-1999.

6. He decamped from the All Progressive Congress (APC) to Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in April 2017.

7. He is an uncle to popular musician, Davido.

8. He lost the Osun governorship election after it was declared inconclusive by INEC in 2018.

9. He was accused and charged to the Osogbo high court for allegedly forging his secondary school testimonial and WAEC in 2018.
