Veteran Nollywood actor, Ernest Asuzu, gave up the ghost on January 26, 2021, and it was trailed by series of reactions on social media.

While a number of people mourned him, it appears many others trolled him too going by his wife’s reaction on social media.

Amina Jannifer Asuzu shared a heartfelt video on her Facebook page where she slammed those who were writing ‘rubbish’ online about her late husband.

The mourning woman started the video by thanking those who reached out to console her over the loss of her man. She then went ahead to call out those who were ‘writing rubbish about him on the internet’.

She said:

“And for those of you who are writing rubbish about him on the internet, may God bless you too. I want to use this medium to say I think it’s better you respect the dead. If somebody dies, if you have conscience, you should leave the dead alone to rest. If you feel bad about someone’s death, why not write comments that would encourage the family?”Amina then asked God to forgive those writing untrue stories about her husband on social media. She said that the late Ernest was a father, a husband and a brother to some and that if people were happy with his death, then may God in heaven bless them.

She said:

“Ernest is dead, let him rest in peace. Those of you who are writing rubbish about him all over the world, may God in heaven forgive you people.”She said that it was better for people to write comments that would encourage the family rather than dropping bad words. Amina said her late husband was a great fighter and that he fought a great battle and that he could have died during the first and second years of his sickness.
