ASUU calls off strike after eight months

It has been confirmed that the Academic Staff Union of Universities has suspended its eight-month strike.
According to the Punch, the decision to end the strike was taken at the end of the National Executive Council meeting which was held at the ASUU secretariat in Abuja. Although ASUU is yet to make an official statement.
I highly informed source within the NEC stated that "Yes, it has been called off". Adding that “the president will release an official circular in the morning”.
Recall that the ASUU embarked on strike action on Monday, February 14, 2022. This move was to protest the non-implementation of the 2009 Memorandum of Understanding reached with it by the Federal Government.
After several meetings, the strike has finally been called off.
