APC in pole position to maintain power, win more states beyond 2023 - Party chieftain

Alhaji Adamu Danzago, a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) from Kano state has said the ruling party is bound to retain power beyond 2023 at the centre and in various states of the federation.

The pronouncement as made by Danzago in Kano on Thursday, March 4, 2021. He served in the 2019 presidential campaign committee of the party, Punch reports.

He bragged that the challenges confronting the party and the country will not disuade Nigerians from voting for the APC in the 2023 general elections.

He also stated that the internal crisis, which had engulfed the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was also serving as a boost for the chances of the APC, Legit.ng reports.

Recall that Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo state had earlier declared that Nigerians will vote for the APC again in the 2023 general elections.

Uzodinma made the comment during an interview with Channels Television on Wednesday, February 3, saying the performance of President Muhammadu Buhari in office will propel the ruling party to victory.

Borno state governor, Professor Babagana Zulum on Thursday, March 4 hinted that Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi will soon decamp from the PDP to the APC.

Professor Zulum made the comment at the Bauchi state government house during an event.
