APC Young Women Forum debuts, appoints state coordinators

Supporters of the All Progressives Congress have inaugurated the APC Young Women Forum and appointed coordinators for each of the 36 states of the federation and Abuja.

The Interim Publicity Secretary of the forum, Theresa Thekena, announced this in a statement titled, ‘APC Forms Young Women Forum, Appoints State Representatives,’ sent via email on Friday.

Thekena explained that the forum was facilitated by the women representative in the Caretaker/ Extraordinary National Convention Planning Committee of the party, Stella Okotete.

She said, “The political platform was a product of the visionary leadership of the National Caretaker Committee Women Representative, Stella Okotete for progressive women aged between 18-35, to empower and promote the visibility of young women in politics and governance.

“The PYWF is a platform designed to holistically invest in the leadership and socio-political potential of young women in Nigeria to harness the strength and capacity that women hold in population size, economic activities and governance.”

Some of those appointed are Fatima Mohammed for Borno State, Tonbra Ekiotenne for Bayelsa State, Anthonia Tortor and Maureen Wilson for Delta State, Elizabeth Aniebiri for Enugu State, Omowunmi Ogbara and Moremi Ojudu for Lagos State, Modinat Lawal for Ogun State, Yusuf Monsurat for Kwara State, Odaudu Joy for Kogi State; and Patience Charles for Adamawa State among others.
