The Apapo Oba Yoruba in Africa Diaspora (AOYAD) Royal Council proudly announces its forthcoming 3rd Anniversary Celebration, a prestigious international royal gathering dedicated to Yoruba unity, cultural preservation, traditional leadership, and global diaspora collaboration.

The celebration will bring together Yoruba Royal Fathers, traditional rulers, dignitaries, cultural ambassadors, policymakers, scholars, development partners, corporate institutions, the media, and invited guests from Africa and across the diaspora.

The event will be held on Saturday, January 23, under the theme:

“Preserving Yoruba Heritage, Strengthening Royal Institutions, and Advancing Global Unity in the Diaspora.”

This landmark celebration will commemorate three years of AOYAD’s commitment to promoting Yoruba identity, protecting cultural values, strengthening royal institutions, and building meaningful partnerships among Yoruba monarchs worldwide.

A major highlight will be the Official Inauguration of Country Vice Presidents, appointed to expand AOYAD’s global leadership structure and coordinate the Council’s activities in their respective countries.

The occasion will also feature the Official Launch of the AOYAD Royal Identity Card, created to provide members with a recognized royal identification system while improving institutional coordination, administrative efficiency, and recognition across member countries.

The programme will include royal processions, cultural exhibitions, traditional performances, keynote addresses, goodwill messages, recognition and award presentations, networking sessions, and other dignified activities celebrating the rich history, values, and heritage of the Yoruba people.

The AOYAD Royal Council warmly invites governments, traditional institutions, diplomatic missions, cultural organizations, development partners, corporate bodies, the media, and the general public to partner with and participate in this historic celebration.
