President of the NFF Amaju Pinnick has revealed that the Super Eagles interim coach, Augustine Eguavoen will not be entitled to salary.

He stated that only win bonuses from the Super Eagles progress into the knock out stage of the Africa Cup of Nations games.

Eguavoen was appointed interim coach of the Super Eagles after the NFF sacked Gernot Rohr in December 2020.

Speaking in an interview with Arise TV, Amaju Pinnick said, “Eguavoen is on the payroll of the NFF and he won’t be entitled to salary for the role he is playing as an interim coach of the team".

“He will be entitled to the winning bonuses as the team progresses at the tournament.”
