Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has lavished praise on Alex Iwobi following Nigeria's 4-0 demolition of Mozambique in the round of 16 of the Africa Cup of Nations.
The Fulham midfielder was one of the Super Eagles stars who shone as Eric Chelle's side progressed to the quarter-finals of the AFCON.
Iwobi dominated the central midfield area alongside skipper Wilfred Ndidi and Frank Onyeka.
The former Arsenal man initiated the moves that resulted in the team's first two goals against the Mambas.
Malian tactician Eric Chelle was full of praise for the 29-year-old after the game.
“Alex Iwobi smells football. His IQ and technical ability are good for the team, and we must stay focused,” the 47-year-old gaffer said in his post-match comments.
