Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has received a major boost ahead of the announcement of his final 28-man squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

This follows the return of Pisa midfielder Ebenezer Akinsanmiro from injury.

The 21-year-old returned to action in the Serie A clash between Pisa and Parma at the Stadio Romeo Anconetani on Monday, December 8.

Akinsanmiro, who is currently on loan at Pisa from Inter Milan, could not make much impact as his side suffered a 1–0 defeat to the visitors.

Adrian Benedyczak scored the only goal of the game in the 40th minute, before the Nigerian midfielder came on in the second half.

His return to action comes as good news for Chelle, who will name his final AFCON squad this week.
