A just and fair New Nigeria is possible if our judiciary embraces change – Peter Obi

Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party recently called on the judiciary to embrace the spirit and message of change hours before the Supreme Court deliver their verdict on the appeal against President Bola Tinubu’s win.

The Supreme Court is set to deliver judgement on the 2023 presidential election appeal by Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and Peter Obi of the Labour Party seeking to nullify Tinubu’s victory in the February election.

In a statement issued on his X page, Obi eho was congratulating Nigeria for their win in the United Kingdom court case against Process & Industrial Developments (P&ID).

Reaction to the country’s victory, Peter Obi called for justice to prevail at the Supreme Court judgement taking place on Thursday, October 26.

He wrote;

“As we have gladly received justice in a foreign land, may we learn to give justice to our countrymen so that our nation can enjoy peace, progress, and unity. A truly just and fair New Nigeria is possible if our judiciary embraces the spirit and message of change.

Sharing his vision for the New Nigeria, Obi said he planned to ensure every child is given access to quality education. Also build a safe and conducive nation that will encourage true development of many talents in the country.

“My mission in the New Nigeria is to ensure that every Nigerian child is given access to quality education, especially at the basic level. This we can achieve by investing aggressively in education, and building a safe and conducive nation that will encourage the discovery and development of the many talents Nigerians are endowed with. Nigeria is a great nation, and Nigerians are great people. Together, we will build the New Nigeria of our dreams. -PO”
