A Nigerian man has ignited a lively debate on social media after sharing his observations about men from Onitsha, Anambra state.

In a widely circulated video, @odogwuasaabaa claimed that 90% of men born and raised in Onitsha tend to beat their partners. He further suggested that these men often show disrespect towards women.

He said, ‘’90 percent of men and raised in Onitsha dey beat their wives. I swear with my life. Any man born and grew up in Onista does not respect women. It is very common. And they b#lly women a lot especially if you do not dress the way they life.

"Any man born in Onistha does not respect women. If you go to the market and see the way they talk to women, you would see that they are not properly raised.

"Yes the men in Onitsha hustle but they beat their women. It is high time they stop it''

His observation has sparked a debate with some persons disagreeing with him while a vast majority agree with him.
