5 Nigerians stabbed at a party in Accra

Five Nigerians have been injured during a knife fight at a birthday celebration at Buduburam, a suburb in Ghana's Central Region.

The fight, according to reports, broke out while food and drinks were been distributed at the party.

According to the local online portal Angel TV, the birthday celebrant invited his friends in Kasoa and some from Accra. Those from Accra also came with ‘another group of friends’.

The host who is a Nigerian said the fight broke out while they were distributing food and drinks at the party.

He said one of the guests from Accra was angered and that led to the fight.

The victims sustain deep cuts on various body parts including the thighs, legs, and neck.

The Asafohene of Gomoa Buduburam, Nana Adolf, who doubles as the Central Regional Street King, disclosed that but for his timely intervention and those of others, the situation could have been worse, reports Angelonline.

He confirmed that the victims were sent to St Gregory Hospital for treatment.

No arrest so far has been made by the police.
