5,000 drones, one star – Galatasaray fans set for stunning Osimhen surprise

Galatasaray fans are preparing an extraordinary show of affection for Super Eagles' Victor Osimhen as the club continues its bid to convince the Nigerian striker to stay in Turkey.

During their last 2024-25 Super Lig match against İstanbul Başakşehir at the Ali Sami Yen Rams Park, the sky above the stadium will be lit up with a stunning drone display, forming a giant portrait of the Napoli-owned forward.

According to Turkish journalist Osman Şenher, an impressive 5,000 drones will be used to draw Osimhen’s image during the game, while fans in the stands will unveil a massive choreography as part of the grand gesture.

This initiative comes as part of the widely trending #StayWithUsOsimhen campaign that has taken over Turkish social media in recent weeks.

Galatasaray fans have flooded the internet with messages urging the Nigerian star to choose the Istanbul giants amid uncertainty surrounding his future at Napoli.

Osimhen, who has been linked with a big-money move to the Premier League and Saudi Arabia, is admired by Galatasaray supporters following his impressive performance, which has greatly helped in putting them at the top of the league table.
Though a stay in Turkey remains highly unlikely given Osimhen’s market value and wage demands, Galatasaray fans have nonetheless launched a full-blown emotional campaign to capture his attention.

Whether the move materialises or not, Osimhen is sure to be honoured in an unforgettable fashion at the Rams Park on June 1.
