Lagos State Coordinator, Take Back Naija/Obidient Movement, Alor Kennedy has said the spontaneous reaction from Nigerians on October 1, shows they are tired of everything going on in the country.

On Saturday, Nigerians stormed the streets across various states to rally for Peter Obi, the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party.

Speaking in an interview on Channels Television, on Monday, October 3, Alor stated that the expression of the people is a cry for change as they are ready to take back the country.

He noted that they are convinced that with Peter Obi as the leader, the country will be a better place for every Nigerian, the standard of living, education, hospital, infrastructure and many other will be restored.

According to him, the Obidient Movement began months ago and with the help of several conveners across the country and beyond, they have been able to organize and rally the youth towards victory.

“People have got to a point of rubicon, a point of no return. What you see on October 1, is expression of people feeling that enough of what is going on. We are tired of what is going on, they are tired of everything that is going on in Nigeria. The standard of living, their education, the hospital, nothing is working the way it is supposed to work.

And we said, since the people we elected are not doing it, lets start from the grassroot and mobilise the people to say enough is enough.

Since we have someone we believe in and is giving us the highest hope we have ever seen in the history of this country, then we say it is time for us to tell him come and be with us and salvage the situation.

What you see on October 1st is the expression people wanted to burst out what they are feeling about the system. Enough is enough and they wanted to take the country back themselves,” he said.
