36 governors to discuss insecurity, CACOVID palliatives during 22nd NGF meeting

Abdulrazaque Bello-Barkindo spokesman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), has said the priority of the next meeting of the forum will focus on security.

The governors of the 36 state are to meet for the 22nd NGF teleconference meeting scheduled to hold tomorrow, Wednesday, December 2.

Bello-Barkindo said part of the agenda is the issue of CACOVID palliatives with updates on its current status in all the states following the looting that characterised the recent EndSARS protest.

According to the NGF spokesperson, the governors will be seeking to develop a new national security architecture which will ensure the safety of lives and property nationwide.

“As part of the effort, beginning at the sub-national level, the forum will be receiving zonal updates on SARS and internal security at its Wednesday meeting."
