Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has issued a fiery warning to politicians contemplating election rigging, humorously suggesting they should first prepare their wills before attempting fraud.

Speaking during the October edition of 'Alex Otti Speaks to Abians' at the Government House in Umuahia, Otti emphasised that the true will of God and the people will determine the 2027 election results.

This bold statement was shared via a video on Channels Television’s YouTube channel.

“I have heard that some people around him say oh, they must take over this state, they must write results but the only advice I have for them is that if they truly want to write results, they should write something else before that time.

“You know what it is? Their will,” Otti said.

Responding to a query about remarks attributed to Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu, who claimed that the All Progressives Congress (APC) would seize control of Abia in 2027, he issued a caution.

This statement comes in the wake of early political strategies forming ahead of Abia State's 2027 governorship race.
