2027: ‘We are not going to vote Tinubu for second term’ — Northern protesters

Northern protesters have publicly declared that they will not vote for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

The protesters made the declaration in a video in which a spokesperson said he had travelled from Kaduna to join the protest.

“We are here strongly to say we are not going to vote for Tinubu. Tinubu must go,” he said.

The spokesperson said insecurity in Zamfara, Sokoto and other Northern states was among the reasons for the protesters’ opposition to the President.

“Most of the people have been killed in Zamfara State, people killed in Sokoto State, people killed in many other states,” he said.

He also accused Tinubu of failing to visit areas affected by the violence, saying, “We have never ever seen Tinubu come for visiting.”

The spokesperson further referred to an incident in Zaria involving people gathered for Eid-el-Maulud, alleging that an aircraft carried out an attack on the gathering.

He claimed the incident was deliberate and accused Tinubu of hating people in the North.

“We know that is purposely because of Tinubu hate Arewa and Tinubu must go,” he said.

The spokesperson added that he was also at the protest to translate statements made by some members from Arabic into English and Hausa.
