​Ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, superstar musician Shakira has shared a snippet of the official song of the competition. The “Waka Waka” crooner also tagged Nigerian artiste Burna Boy as a collaborator.

​The title of the song is “Dai Dai,” and it will be released on Thursday, May 8.

This is a massive feat for Burna Boy, who is arguably the biggest artiste in the Nigerian space at the moment. He follows in the footsteps of another Nigerian music great, Davido, who collaborated with Trinidad Cardona and Aisha for the 2022 World Cup soundtrack, “Hayya Hayya.”

​Before now, Burna Boy has performed at the 2023 UEFA Champions League final, the NBA All-Star game, the England women's welcome party after winning the 2025 Euros, and several other top sporting events.
