The six teams that will participate in the 2026 World Cup intercontinental playoffs are now confirmed.
The teams are Bolivia, DR Congo, Iraq, Jamaica, New Caledonia and Suriname.
They will all compete in a mini-tournament scheduled for March 2026 in Mexico.
One team from the list above will qualify for the global showpiece to be hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico.
By the end of Tuesday night, 42 countries had automatically qualified for next year’s tournament.
The remaining six spots will be filled by the UEFA and inter-confederation playoffs in March.
The European play-off draw will take place on Thursday, November 20, at FIFA headquarters.
Confirmed in play-offs as European Qualifiers group runners-up: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Czechia, Denmark, Italy, Kosovo, Poland, Republic of Ireland, Slovakia, Türkiye, Ukraine, Wales.
Confirmed in play-offs via Nations League route: Romania, Sweden, Northern Ireland, North Macedonia.
