The Super Eagles of Nigeria will be eyeing a record 18th quarter-final appearance at the Africa Cup of Nations when they take on the Mambas of Mozambique in the round of 16 of the 2025 AFCON.
Nigeria will make history by becoming the first nation to achieve this feat with a victory over Mozambique.
The three-time African champions have only failed to reach the last eight of the Nations Cup on three occasions.
The first time was in Ghana 1963, when Nigeria made their debut at the tournament.
The second time was in Libya 1982, and the last was the 2021 edition hosted by neighbouring Cameroon.
Eric Chelle's side will hope to maintain their hundred per cent record when they take on Mozambique on Monday at the Complexe Sportif de Fes.
The match will kick off at 8:00 pm Nigeria time.
