2023 presidency: We will surprise Nigerians very soon- APC

The APC has revealed how it will retain power in the 2023 general elections.

Ruling party on Saturday, August 22, said that it will achieve this by bringing back its former members who defected to other political platforms.

The new national boss of the APC said that the party is on a reconciliation course for all aggrieved party members.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) expressed certainty of victory in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in both Edo and Ondo states.

The ruling party voiced this optimism after inaugurating its reconciliation committees for Imo and Ogun states on Friday, August 21, in Abuja, Daily Trust reports.

Speaking on the development, the chairman of the APC's national caretaker/national convention planning Committee, Governor of Yobe state said that after the reconciliation, even aggrieved members will return to the party and help to strengthen its ranks ahead of the 2023 general polls.

Governor Buni said that the APC will shock Nigeria's political space with the return of its former bigwigs.

Expressing his obvious joy over the party's new move, the new APC boss said: “Let me also add that the on-going reconciliatory initiatives of the All Progressives Congress (APC) will soon shock Nigeria’s political space with the massive return of former members who felt aggrieved and unwillingly, went to other political parties."

Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that the national woman leader of the APC, Stella Okotete had said the party would govern Nigeria beyond 2023.

Okotete, a member of the APC caretaker committee, said this on Friday when she led a delegation to donate food items to the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) at Karamajji in Abuja.

She stated: “Our repositioning efforts of APC are clear for everyone to see. We are having new members and old members come back, we have repositioned the party for high grounds and continued governance of the country beyond 2023."

Also, a chieftain of the APC, Henry Dele Ajomale, had spoken about the alleged presidential ambition of the party's national leader, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In an interview published by The Sun on Saturday, August 9, the APC chieftain said no force can stop Tinubu’s presidential aspiration in 2023.
