The mood at the Supreme Court is that of total calmness as President Bola Tinubu’s election victory has been upheld as legitimate.
The apex court, held that there was no merit in the petition that former vice-President and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar, filed to nullify the outcome of the election.
According to the apex court, Atiku could not prove that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) did not substantially comply with provisions of the Electoral Act, in the conduct of the election.
Some judges could be spotted smiling, but maintaining a very calm posture as Bola Ahmed Tinubu was finally declared the legitimate President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
