2023: Has Wike joined Labour Party? Truth emerges

Political debates have been sparked again in some parts of the country over the relationship between Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state and Labour Party's presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

The Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, Wike is alleged to have joined the Labour Party after his meeting with Peter Obi.

Wike invited Peter Obi to commission the Nkpolu Flyover, in Rivers state on Thursday, November 10, 2022.

Although Wike has clearly made it known that he is not going to support Atiku Abubakar, the PDP presidential candidates' ambitions, he has continued to support his party in Rivers state towards the 2023 elections.

Wike has not joined the ObiDatti movement, however, he has stressed that Peter Obi would make a good leader if given an opportunity in 2023.
