With only a few days left until Nigerians head to the polls and cast their votes for their favorite candidate, people have had varying perspectives about the presidential contenders and what they are bringing to the table.

Some Ghanaian media personalities have also taken a bite on the issue at hand putting into perspective the age and capabilities of the presidential candidates.

Roland Walker, a journalist and presenter, during the TV3, New Day morning show on Thursday, February 23, stated that the fact that Nigeria is a sub-Saharan African country, speaks volumes about how the monetization of politics has damaged its democracy.

He added that people must be educated on the need to serve, not because they are well off financially but because they are committed and want to do so.

Roland continued by stating that some Nigerians think the outcome of the upcoming elections has already been decided because there are some persons at the top who will use their influences to get what they want.

Co-host, Berla described how shocked she was when she sighted a video of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu in a bus at a rally being held at his back while he tried dancing.

She questioned the capability of such a person when he is given the nod to rule the country.

She said: "Even recently, I think during a rally or something, he was on a bus and was supposed to be dancing but someone was holding and supporting him. How is this man going to be able to run this country when voted into power?"

According to Berla, many older people are in power because they have had enough time to accumulate some fortune for themselves and also elections are typically predictable due to specific factors that will be in play.

The media personality went on to say that the issue of age and older people holding positions of power was not peculiar to Africa but also occurs in Western parts of the world.

The majority of the candidates for the upcoming elections, according to the media personalities, are old, however some, like Peter Obi, are youthful and capable.
