17 INEC ad hoc staff kidnapped, rescued in Imo

Hoodlums have kidnapped 17 Ad-hoc staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) posted to 19 wards at Ideato South Local Government Area in Imo State.

They were kidnapped on their way to work.

However, it was gathered that the police moved quickly to rescue them later.


Confirming the incident, the State INEC spokesperson, Dr. Chineye Chijioke-Osuji said that “they have been rescued without electoral materials and BVAS.”
