15-year old black girl who conquered America and China to win global math competition

15-year old Nigerian high school student, Faith Odunsi has won the 2021 Global Open Mathematics competition.

She conquered contestants from many countries including America, China, Australia, and others to emerge the winner.

The brilliant young student, although didn't think she would excel, fought hard in all the rounds of the competition.

when interviewed by Punch, Odunsi said, “I was already tense, so I just smiled. I was too anxious to dance. I was tense because it was a tough competition", adding that she studied hard with the help of her teacher.

She set a new record in the math competition by winning a 30-point margin. As part of her wins, she was awarded $1,000 cash prize.

Faith is a student of Ambassador School in Ota Ogun State, with hopes to study computer engineering at the university.
