1,056 new cases of coronavirus recorded in Nigeria

The National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has revealed that 1,056 new cases have been recorded in the country.

With a surge in the number of cases confirmed on Tuesday, February 9, 2021, Lagos recorded 214 new cases and Osun state recorded 120 new cases.

Other states with confirmed cases include FCT-116, Plateau-88, Ebonyi-75, Kwara-73, Gombe-70, Ondo-57, Rivers-47, Akwa Ibom-38, Edo-25, Oyo-23, Kano-22, Delta-19, Katsina-18, Borno-16, Nasarawa-13, Ekiti-8, Ogun-8, Bauchi-4, Benue-1 and Jigawa-1.

Since the first cases was recorded, Nigeria has recorded 141, 447 confirmed cases of the disease, with 115, 755 successfully treated and discharged patients, while 1, 694 patients have died from the disease.
