Crown Uzama, popularly known as Shallipopi, is a Nigerian singer and rapper who gained widespread recognition with his breakout hit "Elon Musk," which made waves in the TurnTable Charts. Born on April 12, 2000, in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria, Shallipopi pursued his passion for music while studying Computer Science at Auchi Polytechnic, graduating in 2023.

His journey in the music industry began with the creation of freestyle and dance videos, which he shared on various social media platforms, notably TikTok. However, his career took a significant turn in 2023 with the release of his hit single "Elon Musk," resonating strongly with his audience and establishing him as a force to be reckoned with in the Nigerian music scene.

In 2023, Shallipopi inked a deal with Dvpper Music and subsequently launched his own record label, Plutomania Records, in October of the same year. His talent and potential were further recognized when Apple Music selected him as the latest featured artist in its Up Next artist development program in Nigeria.

However, his career faced a setback when, on May 30, 2023, he and his manager were arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for alleged involvement in internet-related fraud. Subsequently, they were convicted on June 23, 2023, and sentenced to two years imprisonment, with the option of fines.

Despite the legal challenges, Shallipopi persevered in his music career and released his second studio album, "Shakespopi," in 2024. The album garnered significant success, becoming his second chart-topping release and further solidifying his position in the Nigerian music industry.
