Brighton and Hove Albion defender Odel Offiah is open to a possible Super Eagles call-up in the near future, OwngoalNigeria reports.
The 21-year-old was handed his first start of the season in his side's 3-0 loss to Bournemouth on Sunday, April 28.
Offiah played 70 minutes in what was his second appearance in the Premier League this season during his side's 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Manchester City last Thursday.
Despite being a natural centre back, manager Roberto De Zerbi deployed him in the right back position due to the club's injury woes.
Born in Camden Town in London to Nigerian parents, the young defender who is eligible to feature for the Super Eagles is open to welcoming the idea as revealed by his representative.
He (Offiah) hasn’t played for England at any level, and he is 21 years old already. It’s a no-brainer to know where he stands a better chance of having a fulfilled international career. Offiah will play for Nigeria if he gets invited as early as the next international break”, his representative told OwngoalNigeria.com.
