President Bola Ahmed Tinubu President Bola Ahmed Tinubu

There are speculations that there will be a shake-up in the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration which will involve reshuffling of offices.

He noted that some cabinet members will be sacked and replaced before May 29 in preparation for his first anniversary in office.

It is gathered that accession and evaluations of performance will be conducted by a team of 140 officials from various federal ministries and agencies.

They include some permanent secretaries, directors of planning and other officials from the 35 ministries.

It was earlier reported that in November 2023, President Tinubu vowed to remove and replace ministers who fail to meet expectations.

The special adviser to Tinubu on policy and coordination and head, central delivery and coordination unit, Hadiza Bala Usman, said to be leading the Central Delivery Coordination Unit saddled with the responsibility of evaluating the ministers.

Report indicates that Tinubu might also use the opportunity to review the appointment of some ministers, who are having issues before the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and other integrity agencies.

Usman in an interview with Arise Television, the president will drop ministers who do not deliver on their mandates.

Adding that Tinubu is committed to fulfilling the promise he made to Nigerians.
